The Houghton Police Department will be hosting a bike sale for unclaimed and abandoned bicycles found in the city.
The bicycles may be viewed starting on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the Houghton Fire Hall located at the intersection of Sharon Avenue and Gundlach Road until Monday, May 14, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. Bid closing will be at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, May 14, 2012. Bidders can place their bid in the box located at the Houghton Fire Hall or at the Houghton Police Department.
The winning bidders will be notified by phone and the bikes need to be picked up on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Payment is by cash, check, or money order.
