The City
of Houghton offers a
lakefront recreation
area second to none in
the state. Not just a
park, but a complete
one-stop facility. We
provide picnic areas
with individual BBQ
grills and tables, to
restrooms with changing
facilities. Vending
machine available.
Kids of
all ages enjoy our
"Chutes and Ladders",
the ultimate playground.
You can
also visit our East
Houghton Waterfront
Park, which is located
on the waterfront trail
just West of the Super 8
motel and provides
access for kayaks and
small sailboats to the
water. There are also
bathroom facilities
complete with showers in
the pavilion.
