The City of Houghton offers a lakefront recreation
area second to none in the state. Not just a park, but a
complete one-stop facility. We provide picnic areas with individual BBQ grills and tables,
to restrooms with changing facilities. Our concession stand serves a wide variety of snacks, from salads to
sundaes.The sandy beach is staffed daily from 10am to 9pm by certified Red
Cross lifeguards during the summer season.
Kids of all ages enjoy our "Chutes and Ladders", the
ultimate playground.

trail just
West of the
Super 8
motel and
provides
access for
kayaks and
small
sailboats to
the water.

facilities

with showers
in the
