The City of Houghton is seeking individuals to serve on the following commissions with openings beginning January 1, 2023:
Downtown Development Authority/Tax Increment Finance Authority
To serve on the planning commission, the applicant must be a qualified elector of the city or an owner of property within the city limits. To serve on the Downtown Development Authority (DDA), the applicant must be a resident of the DDA, or a persona having an interest in property located in the DDA.
If you are interested in serving on one of these commissions, please submit an application to the City of Houghton Clerk, P.O. Box 606, Houghton, MI 49931. The deadline for applications is Friday, December 9, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. Applications are available on the city’s website cityofhoughton.com. The council will make the appointments at their meeting on December 14, 2022.
