THE CITY OF HOUGHTON PLANNING COMMISSION WILL HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING AT 5:30 p.m. TUESDAY, JULY 28, 2020, BY REMOTE PARTICIPATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH GOVERNOR WHITMER’S EXECUTIVE ORDER 2020-129:
Proposed Ordinance 2020-311: This proposed ordinance amends Chapter 98, to add a new Division 12, Sections 98-143 to 98-145 – Central Business Overlay District. This proposed ordinance sets development standards and principal uses permitted for the City of Houghton Downtown with the boundary set as the southern-most lines of properties that abut the south side of Montezuma Avenue to the Portage Waterway, between Bridge Street and Franklin Street.
The public hearing is a chance for the planning commission to receive public comments on this proposed ordinance. Copies of the proposed ordinance are attached. 2020-311
