The Houghton City Council will hold Public Hearings on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Center, 616 Shelden Avenue, Houghton, on the proposed budget for the 2022/2023 fiscal year which runs from 7/1/2022 through 6/30/2023.
The proposed millage for the 2022/2023 budget is 15.0 mills. The property tax millage proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing.
Following the Public Hearing on the budget, the City Council will hold a Public Hearing on the Capital Improvement Plan, which will be followed by the Regular Meeting of the Houghton City Council. During the Regular Meeting, the City Council will act on the 2022/2023 Budget, and the Capital Improvement Plan. Copies of the proposed 2022/2023 Budget and Capital Improvement Plan will be available soon.
