Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
There are two 62.5 kw DC fast electric car charging stations available in downtown Houghton. The charge stations include both standard and Tesla heads. The chargers are located on the top of the parking deck across from the Vault Hotel on the corner of Shelden Avenue and Isle Royale Street.
Our ChargePoint brand chargers accept Tap-to-Pay cards, or payments via an app which requires an account. Please do not leave your vehicle charging unattended.
These charging stations were financed through a grant from the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy as well as funds from the City of Houghton and Upper Peninsula Power Company.
