PLANNING COMMISSION APPOINTMENTS
The Houghton City Council will appoint individuals to serve on the planning commission with terms beginning January 1, 2027:
Planning Commission (2 openings, term of 3 years).
To serve on the Planning Commission, the applicant must be a qualified elector of the City or an owner of property within the city limits.
If you are interested in serving on the commission, please submit an application to the City of Houghton Clerk, P.O. Box 606, Houghton, MI 49931 or by email: amy@cityofhoughton.com. The deadline for applications is Tuesday, December 1, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. Applications are available on the city’s website cityofhoughton.com (City Services>Commissions>Application).
