CITY OF HOUGHTON PLANNING COMMISSION
PROPOSED ORDINANCE AMENDMENT
THE CITY OF HOUGHTON PLANNING COMMISSION WILL HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING AT 5:30 p.m. TUESDAY, JULY 28, 2026 AT THE CITY CENTER, 616 SHELDEN AVENUE, HOUGHTON, MICIHGAN 49931.
Proposed Ordinance 2026-349: This proposed ordinance amends Chapter 98, Division 5- Signs to include new and expanded definitions of sign types; and new and updated regulations regarding size, allowable locations, and temporary signage.ย Changes may be made to this proposed ordinance following public comment received at the public hearing held on July 28th.
The public hearing is a chance for the planning commission to receive public comments on this proposed ordinance.ย Copies of the proposed ordinance are available at the Houghton City Clerkโs Office, 616 Shelden Avenue, Houghton, between the hours of 8-4:30 on weekdays and on our website cityofhoughton.com.ย The office number is 482-1700.
